Abuse

Abuse prevention is registry work.

Protecting users and the DNS is part of operating a registry responsibly. CTR treats abuse prevention, reporting, evidence, and mitigation as core operational concerns.

Our approach

CTR is building its abuse program around applicable ICANN obligations for gTLD registry operators: a clear reporting channel, monitoring, evidence preservation, escalation, appropriate mitigation, periodic technical analysis, and durable records of identified abuse and resulting actions. These obligations are part of our operating design, not an afterthought.

Reports are assessed on their evidence, severity, and potential harm. A response may involve referring the matter and relevant evidence to the sponsoring registrar or taking direct registry action when appropriate, while considering the risk of collateral impact. We do not publish response-time promises before the service is live.

Report DNS abuse: Email [email protected]. CTR does not operate a public web form at this stage.
